![]() I specifically reserved this campground with my 2 kids in mind. I was told they were under new ownership however.as nice as it looks in the summer (according to the pics on the website.).a little more effort for. Clearly stating bounce pillow is out of order and pool temp use rule. When we had gone to the office to discuss the false advertising from the website, we were offered a free 1hr use of their water bike (our younger son wouldnt be able to reach the pedals but it was the thought that counted.) The website should be updated. We walked around the lake multiple times, played on the playground (kids stepped in dog crap WHILE on the playground seeing as ppl don't seem to care). By 1:00 we were done waiting and so were the kids. Was told over 3 times "soon", most likely after had reached 55 by 11:30 am. Bounce pillow was broken (for the past 2 yrs), pool was said to open after it got to 55 degrees air temp. Following day we went to explore the campground. We arrived after checkin hours and it rained the rest of the night. The website stated open year round.i checked the amenities which stated they had a heated pool, playground and bounce pillow (as well as a large lake to fish, swim- not planning on that in Dec.). ![]() ![]() Both are highly active and need to stay busy. would not pay full price for this, it simply should not command that price.I specifically reserved this campground with my 2 kids in mind. ![]() We'd return but make sure we seek out that fringe timeframe for the discounted greens fee. For $330 for us to play as a couple, we expected a more nicely manicured layout. It is above average, but not very good or excellent by any measure. At this price point - I get it, it's in-season, but if you are going to charge the price, you need to deliver the product - a course in $200 condition. I realize in-season is Winter, but the quality of the turf at the private courses in this same price range is just better. Specifically tee boxes, green complexes and fairways. While a nice track, it benefits from some flower plantings and some scenery (mostly bends through the residential and condos surrounding it), is is in need of better maintenance on the course itself. However, the course itself needs more work. Staff is attentive and friendly - on par (pun intended) with a higher-end CC or resort experience. down from the $200's for a morning round. Hunted for a more moderately priced tee time (mid-afternoon) at about $160ish. Our experience was most, if not all, semi-private tracks go all private from Dec-April or at least Jan-March. The Flamingo course at Lely is a one of only a few 'in-season' public play options around Naples. We hope to be back someday and may consider playing the Mustang course next time around. Amazing course, friendly staff, and a nice clubhouse too - we savored the food and drinks and enjoyed the whole experience of our day. Lely Resort was a dream come true for my wife and I. He was chilling by the tee box and leapt into the water as we approached. It's a par 3 surrounded by sand and water with very little room for error, and if you haven't seen what it looks like, do an online image search and check it out! And if you play it, keep an eye out for the big gator lurking nearby. Hole #5 was the most memorable hole for us. The placement of the traps is a challenge and I'm now realizing I need to work on that part of my game. There are sand traps all over the place and I used my sand wedge more than I ever have. The fairways were in great shape and the greens were large and fast. We were easily able to squeeze in a round as the sun was setting, and it was wide open out there in the afternoon despite being the heart of the season. FYI the range balls are complimentary so get there early to hit the range. Flamingo Island was at the top of our list and we played the twilight rate to save a few bucks. My wife and I traveled to Naples for our honeymoon and we picked a couple courses that would normally be out of our budget back home. Flamingo Island at Lely Resort is the nicest course I've ever played, hands down.
